About the project and author

Catchdomain.at is an independent knowledge portal on domain catching, backordering and expired domains. It is the responsibility of Leo Kobes from Baden bei Wien — working hands-on with domains, SEO and his own digital projects for many years.

What it is about

The portal factually explains how domain catching and backorders work, how deletion cycles run per extension, what expired domains are and how to vet, register, trade, park or monetise them — from .de to European country-code domains. It is not a registrar and not a catch service of its own.

The author

Leo Kobes operates or is involved in several projects in the domain and SEO space — see portfolio. Practical experience from these projects informs the content. Location: Baden bei Wien, Österreich.

How we work

How content is researched, checked and updated is set out in the editorial guidelines. Economic affiliations are disclosed on the transparency page.
