Editorial guidelines
These guidelines describe how content on Catchdomain.at is created, checked and updated — so that factual details about domains, TLDs and deletion cycles are reliable.
Who creates and is responsible for content
Content is created by Leo Kobes or under his editorial responsibility. Editorial selection, control and sign-off are done by humans.
How we research
- For registry, period, transfer and deletion details we prefer official primary sources of the respective registry (e.g. DENIC for .de, nic.at for .at, EURid for .eu).
- Details are documented with a source link and access date.
- We do not invent periods or rules "from memory". What is not documented is flagged or omitted.
How we check TLD and registry details
Every TLD page names the responsible registry and the sources used. Where sources differ, the official registry statement takes precedence.
Updates
Guides carry a publication, update and review date. When rules change, we update the affected pages and adjust the date.
Use of AI
AI is used in a supporting role (e.g. for drafts and structuring). The substantive checking, selection and sign-off of content, however, is done by humans.
Labelling commercial content
Economically affiliated offerings — in particular DomainCatcher.com — are visibly labelled as such (see transparency). No placement may pretend to be an objective recommendation. Comparisons use transparent criteria.
Reporting errors & corrections
We take error reports seriously. You can reach us via the channels named in the imprint; justified corrections are made promptly and significant changes are reflected in the update date.
