Transparency and economic affiliation
Catchdomain.at is an independent information portal. At the same time, several of the projects presented here — in particular DomainCatcher.com — are economically or personally affiliated with the operator. This page discloses what these affiliations look like and how we handle them.
Who is behind the portal
Content is the responsibility of Leo Kobes (Baden bei Wien). He operates or is involved in several of the projects listed in the portfolio. The exact legal attribution of the portal is stated in the imprint.
The economic affiliation in plain terms
- DomainCatcher.com is an economically/personally affiliated project. When we use it as an example or link to it, that can support commercial interests.
- Other portfolio projects (incl. DeinReCatch.de, ExpiredDomains.eu, APN.at, BOMOTS.de, LeoKobes.com) are wholly or partly in the same operating environment. The exact corporate attribution (e.g. to Byte Media GmbH) is stated once conclusively confirmed.
How this affects our presentation — and how not
The affiliation does not change our duty to present things correctly. Concretely:
- Affiliated offerings are labelled as such, not disguised as a neutral recommendation.
- Registry, period and deletion details rely on official sources (see editorial guidelines), independent of commercial interests.
- We state prices with a date; the respective provider’s figures remain authoritative.
- Comparisons and assessments use transparent criteria and no invented methodology.
No paid third-party placement without labelling
If content is sponsored by third parties, we label it clearly. A placement must never pretend to be an objective recommendation.
